LAB MEMBERSHIP

Our Purpose:

“The Lincoln Association of Baptist exist for the purpose of
supporting the fellowship, missional engagement, equipping, and strengthening of local churches.”

What Does Membership with the LAB mean?

Membership in the Association is fundamentally a relationship and ministry partnership. The LAB understands and commits to fulfilling its responsibilities to each member church. By submitting this application, each church/mission/church plant understands and commits to fulfilling the following duties of membership in the LAB. We encourage each applying church/mission/church plant to review the LAB constitution and bylaws for additional membership information. The following is an overview:

1. Maintain Doctrinal Fidelity

The Association follows the teaching of the Holy Scriptures and affirms the Southern Baptist Convention's Baptist Faith and Message recent edition.

2. Engage in cooperative ministry with other member churches and the Association. We expect churches to serve together with God.

3. Contribute monthly to the mission of the collective association. We suggest 3% of Undesignated Receipts. This is just a suggestion based on how many churches give.

4. Participate and vote at the Executive Board Meetings and the annual meeting upon confirming your membership.

5. Complete the Annual Church Profile Report

6. Provide us your Church's leadership with contact information.

Church Plants will receive the AMS signature on the KBC form for KBC Funds once the LAB Mission team sees evidence that the church plant has met and agreed to the above requirements.
